Start with the commute, then the schools, then the house
In DFW the Dallas North Tollway and US 75 are two different lives. A twenty-minute difference on paper is an hour a day in practice. We work backward from your office, not forward from a listing.
School districts do not follow city lines here
This is the single thing out-of-state buyers get wrong. Seven districts serve McKinney. Three serve Little Elm. An Argyle mailing address may not be Argyle ISD. I verify attendance zones on every property before you get attached to it.
Tour virtually before you fly
I will walk properties on video, on your schedule, including the things listing photos hide — road noise, the neighbor's yard, what the drive to the highway is actually like.
Rent for a year if you are not sure
I will tell you this even though it delays my paycheck. If you do not know the area and your company is covering temporary housing, a year of renting in the right sub-market beats a thirty-year mortgage in the wrong one.
